WELCOME TO MS. DEAN'S FIRST GRADE CLASS!!
Welcome to first grade! My name is Lashandra Dean and I will be your first grade teacher for the 2010/2011 school year! I hope that you have had a wonderful summer because it's back to school time again! It will be a great pleasure getting to know you and your child during this school year so feel free to contact me at school or through email.

On the first day of school, each student will wear a special name tag home. Please make sure that he or she wears this nametag back to school each day for the first week. Students will also bring home a red folder which will contain homework and a monthly citizenship calendar. The red folder will come home each night and should come back to school each morning. Any notes that need to be sent to me can also be placed in this folder.
The first day of school for students this year is August 23, 2010. Orientation for parents in students will be August 19, 2010 at 9:30am. School starts each day at 7:45am however if you would like for your child to eat breakfast at school, then be sure to have them here no later than 7:20am. We have a power packed school day and breakfast fosters positive thinking skills in our students.
